Specifies - measures on railway vehicles for fire protection; - verification of these measures. The measures and requirements, indicated in this standard shall cover the objective to protect passengers and staff in railway vehicles in the event of a fire on board. It is not the objective of this standard to describe measures which ensure the preservation of the vehicles in the event of a fire on board. This standard shall be valid for railway vehicles as defined in subclause 3.1. In addition, this standard shall be valid for: - track guided buses; - trolley buses (only in relation to the electrical equipment); - magnetic levitation vehicles.
