This code of practice treats a number of subjects as explanatory comments on the examination of drinking water for the pressence and thermotolerance of coliform bacteria by means of fermentation tests in accordance with NEN 6557. The method given in NEN 6557 deviates in some respects from the previous standard, published in 1956 (N 3043, Chapter III.4).
