This standard gives a method intended to evaluate the bond strength of impregnating varnishes. The effects of thermal treatment of the test specimens, of the test temperature and of thermal ageing in accordance with IEC Publication 216: Guide for the Determination of Thermal Endurance Properties of Electrical Insulating Materials, may also be determined by this test procedure.
