scope:
This standard describes a screening test for ready biodegradability of organic compounds. The standard applies to organic compound with a solubility in water of at least 25 mg/l. The content of dissolved organic carbon in the test solution prescribed in this standard is 10-40 mg/l. the degradability restraining effect of toxicity of the tested compounds in these conceptrations with regard to the inoculum, must be examined by means of check experiments.
