This recommendation applies to all industrial electro-heating such as resistance, electrode, arc, dielectric and infra-red furnaces. The object of this recommendation is to state the general test conditions as well as the basic measuring methods applicable to all industrial electro-heating equipment; it may be supplemented or modified by particular recommendations for the various types of industrial electric furnaces.
