This International Standard describes the mounting characteristics of accelerometers to be specified by the manufacturer and makes recommendations to the user for mounting accelerometers. The application of this International Standard is limited to the mounting of electromechanical transducers of the type which are mounted on the surface of the structure in motion and does not cover other types, such as relative motion pick-ups.
