scope:
This standard covers the requirements of superscreened cables and is divided into two sections. This section (section 1) specifies general requirements and test methods; Section 2 (IEC 96-4-2) will consist of relevant data specifications setting out the electrical and mechanical requirements for each type of cable, together with engineering information. When the requirements of Sections 1 and 2 of this standard conflict with eachother, those of Section 2 (IEC 96-4-2) shall take precedence over this section.
