This Part 3 supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses in IEC Publication 204-1 so as to convert that publication to the IEC standard dealing with electrical equipment of sewing machines, units and systems (first edition). This part applies to sewing units and systems which are installed in dry and well-kept clean locations, e.g. in the clothing industry, and which process dry sewing material.
