Applies to thermal-links with a rated voltage not exceeding 660 V a.c. and a rated current not exceeding 63 A for incorporation in electrical appliances, electronic equipment and component parts thereof, normally intended for use indoors, in order to protect them against excessive temperatures under abnormal, but not under extreme (corrosive or explosive atmospheres) conditions. The object is establishing uniform requirements, defining methods of test, and providing useful information for the application in equipment.
