Organization: DS
Publication Date: 19 June 2007
Status: inactive
Page Count: 150
ICS Code (Fuses and other overcurrent protection devices): 29.120.50
scope:

Fuses for use by authorized persons are generally designed to be used in installations where the fuselinks are accessible to, and may be replaced by, authorized persons only. Fuses for use by authorized persons according to the following fuse systems also comply with the requirements of the subclauses of IEC 602691,unless otherwise defined in this standard. This standard is divided into fuse systems, each dealing with a specific example of standardized fuses for use by authorized persons: Fuse system A: Fuses with fuselinks with blade contacts (NH fuse system) (before this system was described in Section I of IEC 6026921) Fuse system B: Fuses with striker fuselinks with blade contacts (NH fuse system) (before this system was described in Section IA of IEC 6026921) Fuse system C: Fuserails (NH fuse system) (before this system was described in Section IB of IEC 6026921) Fuse system D: Fusebases for busbar mounting (NH fuse system) (before this system was described in Section IC of IEC 6026921) Fuse system E: Fuses with fuselinks for bolted connections (BS bolted fuse system) (before this system was described in Section II of IEC 6026921) Fuse system F: Fuses with fuselinks having cylindrical contact caps (NF cylindrical fuse system) (before this system was described in Section III of IEC 6026921) Fuse system G: Fuses with fuselinks with offset blade contacts (BS clipin fuse system) (before this system was described in Section IV of IEC 6026921) Fuse system H: Fuses with fuselinks having "gD" and "gN" characteristic (Class J and class L time delay and non time delay fuse types) (before this system was described in Section V of IEC 6026921) Fuse system I: gU fuselinks with wedge tightening contacts (before this system was described in Section VI of IEC 6026921) NOTE The following fuse systems are standardized systems in respect to their safety aspects. The National Committees may select from the examples of standardized fuses one or more systems for their own standards.
