NEN 6444

Water - Determination of chromium content by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (graphite furnace technique)

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 March 1977
Status: inactive
Page Count: 2
ICS Code (Examination of water for chemical substances): 13.060.50
scope:

This standard specifies a method for determination of the chromium content of water by means of atomic absorption spectrophotometry (graphite furnace technique). It applies to aqueous sollutions that have to be clear or that have to be centrifuged or filtered. The detection limit depends on the equipment used, generally speaking chromium contents starting at 0.5 µ g/l can be determined. For chromium contents higher than 100 µ g/l the flame technique is recommended.
