scope:
The intention of this test is to simulate the impact of a falling item (cooking pot or perfume bottle) on sanitary articles (kitchen sinks, wash bassins, bathtubs, shower trays...) made from synthetic materials. The resistance of sanitary articles against such impact load is considered as a key requirement. The test method described in this standard is designed to give reproducable results and comparable figures.
