This standard specifies a spectrometric method for the determination of borate in a cold water extract of paper and board intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. This method is applicable to the determination of borate in concentrations between 0,01 mg/l and 1,0 mg/l expressed as boron. The working range may be extended by dilution.
