NEN-ISO 11077

Windows, doors and shutters - Thermal transmittance - Calculation method

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 January 1994
Status: inactive
Page Count: 30
ICS Code (Doors and windows): 91.060.50
scope:

This standard gives methods for the calculation of the thermal transmittance of windows and doors consisting of glazed or opaque panels fitted in a frame, with and without shutters. Different types of glazing are covered (glass or plastics; single or multiple glazing; without or with low emissivity coatings; with spaces filled with air or other gases). The nature of frames (wood; plastic; metallic with and without thermal barrier; metallic with pinpoint metallic connections or any combination of materials) can be taken into account. The additional thermal resistance introduced by different types of shutters, depending on the ventilation of air layers (air permeability), is included. Thermal bridge effects at the rebate or joint between the window or door frame and the rest of the building envelope are excluded from the calculation.
