NEN-ISO 1209-2

Rigid cellular plastics - Determination of flexural properties - Part 2: Determination of flexural strength and apparent flexural modulus ofelasticity

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 June 2004
Status: inactive
Page Count: 14
ICS Code (Cellular materials): 83.100
scope:

This part of ISO 1209 specifies a method for determining the flexural strength and the apparent flexural modulus of elasticity of rigid cellular plastics. A load is applied at a uniform rate by means of a loading edge to a test specimen supported at two positions. The load is applied perpendicularly to the specimen at a position midway between the supporting positions. The load/deformation curve is recorded. From the curve, the flexural strength and the apparent flexural modulus of elasticity are calculated.
