Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 June 1993
Status: active
Page Count: 6
ICS Code (Chemical analysis of metals): 77.040.30
ICS Code (Powder metallurgy): 77.160
scope:

This part of the standard lays down general requirements for the chemical analysis of hardmetals by flame atomic absorption. Subsequent parts of this standard specify methods for determination of the content of the following elements by flame atomic absorption spectrometry: calcium, colbalt, chromium, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, sodium, nickel, titanium, vanadium. The method is applicable to: a) carbides of chromium, n iobium, tantalum, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, b) mixtures of these carbides and binder metals, c) all grades of presintered or sintered hardmetals, produced from these carbides, d) coated hardmetals, after total removal of coating.
