scope:
This code of practice describes the relation between many concepts used in gearing technology and works out some calculation methods. The code of practice applies to cylindrical gear wheels with straight or helical involute tooth profiles in parallel transmissions. The definitions, the physical model and the mathematical model also apply to other gear wheel desings.
