This standard gives information about the behaviour of an aggregate (crushed stone) when submitted to immersion in magnesium sulphate, followed by drying in a drying drum. This test method is not suitable for all stones; a reservation has to be made to some carbonate stones and for some stones with a high content of magnesium containing minerals or crypto cristalline quartz.
