This standard contains graphical symbols which have been developed to represent logic functions. They are intended also to represent physical devices capable of carrying out these functions. The symbols have been prepared with a view to electrical applications, but the majority may also be applied to non-electrical devices, for example pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical.
