scope:

This International Standard describes the test of performance characteristics of on-line sensors/analysing equipment in water. The standard is applicable to most sensors/analysing equipment, but it is recognised that certain performance tests for some sensors/analysing equipment can not be carried out. This International Standard defines: - on-line sensors/analysing equipment for water quality measurements; - the terminology describing performance characteristics of on-line sensors/analysing equipment; - the test procedures (for laboratory and field) to be used to evaluate the performance characteristics of on-line sensors/analysing equipment.
