This standard gives designations, requirements and rules for the inspection of broken and partially broken sand and gravel of natural origin, consisting mainly of quartz. Reference to this standard implies that all requirements mentioned in it have to be met. This standard does not regulate the responibilities for inspections. It applies to sand and gravel used as aggregates for concrete.
