Specifies the minimum requirements and gives recommendations for the design, materials, fabrication, inspection, testing, preparation for shipment, and erection of fired heaters, air preheaters, fans, and burners for general refinery service. In a fired heater, heat liberated by the combustion of fuels is transfered to fluids contained in tubular coils within an internally insulated enclosure.
