This part of ISO 8000 contains the vocabulary relating to master data quality, for use in connection with the master data quality series of parts of ISO 8000. The following are within the scope of this part of ISO 8000: basic terms and definitions related to data quality, syntax, and semantics, which are needed to support other terms and definitions in this part of ISO 8000; NOTE 1 It is the intention of ISO TC 184/SC 4/WG 13 to ultimately publish such terms and definitions in a vocabulary for all parts of ISO 8000, which will be part of the general data quality series. terms and definitions related to characteristic data; terms and definitions related to master data; terms and definitions related to data provenance. The following is outside the scope of this part of ISO 8000: terms and definitions related to data quality that are not needed by the the master data quality series of parts of ISO 8000.
