This standard relates to piezoelectric filters for use in telecommunication and measuring equipment. This standard gives general information and general methods of test common to all types of piezoelectric filters. The applicability of the tests to each type of piezoelectric filter and the specific requirements for each test will be given in the article sheet relating to that type. In case of conflict between the requirements of this specification and the article sheets, the latter will take precedence. To establish uniform conditions for assessing the mechanical, electrical and climatic properties of piezoelectric filters, to describe test methods, to give recommendations for standard values and to give guidance on the use and maintenance of such filters.
