NEN-EN-ISO 11495

Determination of palladium in palladium jewellery alloys - Method using inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry on a solution with yttrium as internal standard

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 September 1999
Status: inactive
Page Count: 11
ICS Code (Jewellery): 39.060
scope:

This standard method describes a procedure for the determination of palladium in jewellery palladium alloys preferably within the range of fineness as stated in ISO 9202 using inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry. Preferentially the palladium content of the alloys lies between 475 per thousand mass and 970 per thousand mass palladium. Palladium jewellery alloys may contain silver, indium, gallium, copper, cobalt, nickel, tin and ruthenium. Interferences with the determination procedure by the presence of these alloying elements have not been observed.
