Describes the equipment characteristics of building control and automation products and systems for mechanical building services generally used in non-residential buildings. Specifies requirements for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (immunity, emissions and installation practices) and environmental (physical) conditions. The standard applies to - controllers with programmable functions - application specific controllers with fixed functions - interfaces to field devices (including sensors and actuators) - operator and server-stations.
