This European Standard specifies general criteria for suppliers' declarations of conformity in cases where it is desirable, and even necessary, that conformity of products with standards or other normative documents be indicated, irrespective of the sector involved. The supplier may then declare under his sole responsibility that his products are in conformity with the standard or other normative documents concerned.
