This standard gives basic dimensions, requirements and test specifications for two-pole socket-outlets without earthing contact with a rated current not exceeding 2,5 A and a rated voltage of 250 V a.c., intended to accept flat 2,5 A 250 V plugs for the connection for Class II equipment according to EN 50075, for household and similar purposes, these socket-outlets having no special protection against ingress of water and being intended for indoor use.
