Applies to the electrical equipment for the supply of energy to battery-powered road vehicles. This standard is not applicable to power installations for charging the electric storage batteries of industrial trucks (such as fork-lift trucks), wheelchairs, indoor vehicles, engine starting-lighting and ignition batteries or for other similar uses, domestic or otherwise. Neither is it applicable to trolley buses nor to rail vehicles.
