NEN 10195

Method of measurement of current noise generated in fixed resistors

active, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 May 1967
Status: active
Page Count: 34
ICS Code (Fixed resistors): 31.040.10
scope:

The object of this Recommendation is to standardize a method of measurement and associated test conditions for use in the determination of the magnitude of current noise generated in fixed resistors, so as to make possible the comparison of the results of measurements. Limiting values of the magnitude of current noise for acceptable performance are not specified. It constitutes a description of the measurement system and procedures recommended for use in assessing the "noisiness", or magnitude of current noise, generated in fixed resistors of any given type. The method of measurement described in this Recommendation applies to all classes of fixed resistors used in circuits when current noise is critical, e.g. in some low-signal-level audio and other low-frequency circuits. It is not intended as a genreal specification reruirement.
