This Recommendation lays down the dimensions and their tolerances essential to ensure interchangeability of screw cores made of ferromagnetic oxides. It applies to the following two types of screw cores: Type A: Screw cores (threaded cores) primarily for use in pre-threaded formers. Type B: Screw cores (threaded cores) suitable for cutting directly in the coil former.
