scope:
This standard gives a method to demonstrate faecal streptococci by filtering a sample through a membrane filter, and by incubating the filter in a suitable, selective medium. The standard applies to the bacteriological examination of fresh water, unless the nature and/or the amount of suspended matter interferes with the determination.
