NEN 6579

Rain water - Potentiometric determination of hydronium ion content

active, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 July 1985
Status: active
Page Count: 4
ICS Code (Examination of water for chemical substances): 13.060.50
scope:

This standard describes a method for the potentiometric determination of hydronium ions (H3O+-content of 10 to 500 µ mol/l. Weakly acid and weakly basic components will interfere with the determination. The presence of these interfering components is shown by the deviation between the H3O+-concentrations determined by two successive standard additions. If interfering components are present, the more elaborate method referred to in 11 should be used.
