scope:

Shall be treated as a product standard for diaphragm valves of thermoplastics materials of the weir type hand-operated or power operated, to be installed in industrial pipe systems with known connections, irrespective of the field of application and the fluids to be conveyed. Applies to diaphragm valves of sizes up to DN 250 and up to PMA 10 bar. Requirements concerning the types of the diaphragm valves and their connections to the pipe system, the standardized nominal diameters as well as the permissible stress (allowed working pressure as a function of the operating temperature and expected life time) are the object of the present product standard.
