This Standard specifies safety requirements and their verification for design and construction of transportable wood chippers used in forestry, agriculture, horticulture and landscaping. This Standard applies to chippers and mechanical infeed components and which are fed in horizontal or near horizontal plane and which are designed to be loaded manually. The included chippers may be powered either by an external prime mover: tractor power take-off, hydraulics etc. or by an integral combustion engine or an electric motor.
