The specifications, test method and procedures included in this document cover stand-alone PV systems with a system voltage below 50V. It covers systems containing one or more PV modules, a support structure, storage batteries and typical DC-loads like lights, radio, TV, refrigerators and telecommunication systems. The focus of the test methods and procedures in this document will be limited to complete system performance evaluation only. Individual sub-systems and components may be monitored, but only to evaluate the performance of the overall system.
