Determination of the thermal performance of factory made solar domestic hot water systems - Conversion procedure based on the Dutch reference conditions

active, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 August 2010
Status: active
Page Count: 30
ICS Code (Solar energy engineering): 27.160
scope:

This code of practice describes - the adopted Dutch reference conditions for solar domestic hot water systems. With the results obtained from the ISO 9459-5 (DST) test one can predict its yearly thermal performance for any draw off and climate. A set of reference conditions is defined to be used for the prediction of the yearly thermal performance for the typical Dutch region. - the definition of the typical performance parameters used in the Netherlands. The definition of the parameters, the calculation procedure and additional references are given. The set of parameters is based on one main parameter, in order to make the different SDHW systems comparable. - a method to establish the yearly energetic performance for members of a product family. A product family is a series of types differing only in tank volume and collector area. Under strict conditions one type of the product family can be tested, while the other types of the series are estimated based on the test results. - the estimation of thermal performance of larger thermal solar systems.
