scope:

This part of ISO/TS 9250 presents a list of equivalent, general, terms related to earth-moving machinery in English, French and Russian; these terms being thoroughly defined in existing International Standards. Its purpose is to - facilitate the exchange of information in the field of earth-moving machinery, worldwide, in particular, by ensuring correct and consistant communication between users, - clarify the information flow among professionals (sales, after-sales service, engineering, spare-parts distribution, etc.), - simplify customs operations and statistical surveys, and -make possible translation into the main languages used in the different markets.
