scope:
This standard applies to all electronic control and regulation equipment, etc., with the exception of electronic power-circuits, which conform to IEC Publications 411 and 411-1. The object of this standard is to standardize certain electrical and mechanical quantities of electronic equipment and to define, with a view to fault location in electronic equipment, the principles of test devices and the rules to which they shall conform.
