scope:
Is applicable to all types of leather. Three alternative methods are described for the determination of chromium in aqueous solution obtained from leather. The first method describes the determination of chrom by jodometric titration, the second by photometry and the third by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Different methods are described as alternatives for obtaining chromium in a suitable solution. This is an analysis for total chromium, not compound specific or specific to it's oxidation state in leather.
