General methods of tests for pigments and extenders - Part 26: Determination of relative tinting strength and residual colour difference of colorants - Weighted K/S value method

pending, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 April 1998
Status: pending
Page Count: 11
ICS Code (Pigments and extenders): 87.060.10
scope:

Specifies a method for determining the relative tinting strength of colorants and the residual colour difference between the test colorant and a reference colorant when the values of the tinting-strength criterion are the same. The method is suitable for testing of colorants in reduction with a white pigment, in textiles, papers, solution, transparent coating materials or printing inks on a white substrate if relevant theories are used. The calculations in clause 7 are carried out only for systems where the Kubelka-Munk theory is applicable.
