This International Standard specifies the symbols to be used for the indication of details on the general arrangement plans of ships. The symbols are drawn to scale 1:100 approximately. For general arrangement plans drawn to the scale 1:50 or 1:200, the individual symbols shall be scaled up or down correspondingly. All symbols may be drawn in accordance with the size and proportions of the equipment which they represent.
