Analoque counting ratemeters - Characteristics and test methods

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 November 1981
Status: inactive
Page Count: 84
ICS Code (Radiation measurements): 17.240
scope:

This standard is intended to permit the comparison between two counting ratemeters of the same type as well as between two counting ratemeters of different types. It defines the characteristics used for expressing the functional performance of counting ratemeters. It establishes the test methods, recommended for measuring and verifying such characteristics. The standard applies to linear or logarithmic analogue ratemeters used in nuclear instrumentation to measure random pulse counting rates in a range from about 0.1 to about 106C. sec-1, as produced by detectors such as counter tubes or fission ionization chambers.
