This standard gives rules for the preservation of coniferous timber using the vacuum and pressure method with water soluble and dilutible preservatives not based on creosote, and specifies the data to be submitted by the commissioner and the data to be registered by the contractor. In addition the standard lays down the requirements regarding the minimum penetration of the preservatives for the different applications of timber and gives a conversion table for the net retention in relation to the timber sizes.
