This standard specifies the method for the determination in barley for consumption and industry, with the exception of brewing barley, the following components that are not "Besatz": immature and shrivelled kernels; kernels from other kinds of cereal; kernels affected by insects and/or other animals; sprouted kernels; broken kernels; spoilt kernels; seeds from weeds; ergot; insects and parts of insects; other impurities.
