Describes principles and methods for the assessment of the biocontamination of textiles used in zones at risk. The techniques described in this standard cannot be used to determine the permeability of fabrics to viable particles for which other techniques may apply. This standard does not cover specific aspects of textiles which may be required for certain fields of application such as sterile and departiculated textiles nor textile quality as judged by visual inspection or by touch.
