NEN 10384-5

Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment - Part 5: Sectional specification for fixed mica dielectric direct current capacitors with rated voltage not exceeding 3000 V

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 30 September 1978
Status: inactive
Page Count: 64
ICS Code (Ceramic and mica capacitors): 31.060.20
scope:

This standard applies to fixed direct current capacitors with a rated voltage not exceeding 3000 V, with a dielectric of mica sheets, intended for use in equipment for telecommunication and in electronic devices employing similar techniques, but excluding capacitors for a reactive power exceeding 10000 var. The electrodes are either thin metal foils or thin layers of metal deposited on the dielectric. The object of this standard is to prescribe preferred ratings and characteristics, to select from IEC Publication 384-1 the appropriate methods of test and to give general performance requirements for this type of capacitor. Test severities and requirements prescribed in detail specifications referring to this sectional document have to be of equal or higher performance level because degradations are normally not permitted.
