This standard is applicable to density meters utilizing ionizing radiation, designed for the measurement of the density of liquids, slurries or fluidized solids. The term "density" used in this standard means the density of the irridiated material being measured. The standard applies to transmission-type instruments only. Reference to compliance with this standard shall identify any deviations and the reasons for such deviations. Safety aspects are not included in this standard but should fulfil the requirements of all relevant internationally accepted standards.
