Specifies requirements and test methods for the quality of the edge seals of insulating double glazing and regulations for both type testing and batch testing. The standard applies to the types of design of insulating double glazing with fixed edge joints obtained by: - soldering a metal strip between the edges of the glass; - melting the glass edges; - cementing of the glass edges using organic putty with or without the use of a spacer; any other edge joints. The constituent glass panes do not have to be of the same type of glass.
