This standard describes a photometric method for the determination of the sum of the contents of dissolved nitrate and nitrite of water by means of continuous flow analysis. The standard is suitable for the determination of the content of dissolved nitrate and nitrite of water with a total nitrate and nitrite content of at least 0.05 mg/l expressed as nitrogen.
